FAQ
How does saddle fitting work?
A PHS Certified Saddle Fitter can fit your saddle on site, travelling to you to adjust the gullet, re-flock the wool panels and reposition girth straps. If a fitter cannot reach your area, the remote saddle fitting service assesses your horse from photographs and measurements, and a remote measurement kit is available.
PHS Representatives serve riders internationally and can adjust a Peter Horobin saddle under warranty.
Can I buy a saddle from stock or is it custom made?
Both. A suitable saddle may be in stock for immediate shipment, otherwise a custom saddle is made to your specifications with a lead time of 10 to 12 weeks.
A 50% deposit secures your order, with instalments until the saddle is complete. Saddles are shipped tracked and insured, and ship to most countries.
What makes a StrideFree saddle different?
The StrideFree® tree is made without rigid tree points, which frees the horse's shoulder and allows a longer stride. The wool-flocked panels can be re-flocked on site, the gullet is adjustable as the horse changes shape, and the StrideFree® tree carries a lifetime warranty with no age limit.
